This episode pretty much single-handedly made me give up on a dream. I'm 29, and barely remember corded phones (I remember the digital handsets instead), but Krukowski's exploration with his mom of how different analogue sound was made me realize that starting a company to produce rotary, stationary phones on the 5G network wouldn't do much to reproduce the intimacy of an earlier era.
